Help Brittany’s dream come true

Posted by: Edward   in Port Elizabeth News

This post goes against every musical bone in my body, BUT… It’s for a good couse. Port Elizabeth does not see many international music artist and personally I think it would be great to see more of them do shows in PE.

A lovely young lady Brittany badly wants the Jonas Brothers to come and perform in Port Elizabeth, sadly not many other Port Elizabethans seem to be interested. I thought to help out and spread the word about her Petition that she started up to get the Jonas Brothers to come and perform in Port Elizabeth.

So if you live in Port Elizabeth and you are a fan get your ass over there and sign the Jonas Brothers Petition.

Yeah you should be hiding away after this one ;)

I’m actually pretty sure the Jonas Brothers would be received really well here. Us Port Elizabethans have our faults but hell – both Eddy Grant (who was awesome by the way) AND Westlife(who sucked…seriously) had to do two shows because too many tickets were sold – we’re sluts for international acts! (Local acts unfortunately get little to no port elizabethan support whatsoever…). I got an earful from a friend’s daughter the other day because I trash talked the Jonas Brothers and am boycotting Algoa for constantly playing them. Thing is – Jonas Brothers would make a killing! Every under 13 year old girl would want to go – and their poor parents would have to accompany them!!

I should’nt be hiding, I should run and hide.

I agree with the local acts, we should really be givving the local oaks some more rep and support them. Personally I would like to see some local tallent to likes of Seether rise up because the alternative scene in SA is pretty sad at the moment.
